Principal Consultant – OpenSearch / AWS Search Platform

We’re looking for a Principal Consultant , A Bachelor’s or Higher Degree is the minimum entry required for the position

Essential Job Functions:

Production Operations & Support

• Provide operational support for production and non production environments.
• Participate in a 24×7 on call rotation and respond to critical production incidents.
• Monitor system health, application performance, and infrastructure availability.
• RCA and implement preventive measures.
• Troubleshoot complex applications, databases, infrastructure, and deployment issues.

Must-Have Skills:

• Amazon OpenSearch (index design, mappings, _bulk, _msearch, performance tuning)
• Apache Kafka (CDC consumers, consumer groups, idempotency, offset management)
• Python backend development
• AWS S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch
• CI/CD pipeline automation (DEV/QE/PROD)
• Angular integration
• PostgreSQL
• NLP/LLM experience (Amazon Bedrock preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery of a Federated Search & Natural Language Query platform.
• Build and optimize OpenSearch-based search services.
• Develop Kafka-based ingestion and synchronization pipelines.
• Create Python APIs and integrate Angular UI.
• Automate deployments across environments using CI/CD.
• Support production go-live, monitoring, and post-launch enhancements.
• Drive technical leadership, stakeholder communication, and release coordination.
